1. The Student Council will run a food drive this week. Please bring in non-perishable items. Do not bring in glass, homemade items, or expired items. The Grand Prize of a homemade breakfast will be awarded to the 1st period classroom with the highest item count. There will also be a School Wide prize of ice cream awarded to the grade level wing or the related arts department with the largest over-all total. Check for posters around the building for more information. 

2. The Champaign County Youth Coalition is looking for new members.  Students in grades 6-12 are eligible to participate.  This organization is a student led - adult facilitated program that empowers students to be leaders in the community and work on spreading the word for a DRUG FREE YOUTH.  November 30th the Coalition will sponsor a Youth Fashion show that is sure to be a fun way to meet new people and start participating in this community organization.  If you are looking for a leadership opportunity, see Mrs. Morgan for more information.  

 3. Students, this is a reminder that you are not to access email here at school unless your teacher specifically asks you to. The chrome books are to be used strictly for educational purposes, and if you are found not using them correctly, you will lose privileges for a period of time.

 

4. The Builders Club will be meeting on WednesdayThis club focuses on working with the school and community to build leadership in fun and exciting ways. The club will conduct activities such as walking dogs at the local humane society or creating and maintaining a garden at the library, and much more. If you are interested, bring a friend or two to the first meeting on Wednesday November 18th during intervention. The meeting will be in Mrs. Peltier’s room and we hope to see you there.
