1. As part of our continued safety measures at Graham Local Schools, this morning, we conducted a non-emergency "lockdown" with GMS staff and students in collaboration with the Champaign County Sheriffs Dept K-9 unit. Staff and students continued class as scheduled during this non-emergency "lockdown." A sweep of the building resulted in no findings to cause concern.

Thank you to School Resource Office Tony Sells for setting up this opportunity.

  1. Laying a wreath and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a great honor for our 8th grade students on their DC trip. Every year, students have the opportunity to be selected for this honor based on an essay they write. Essays are rated by staff across the building. We will have four students representing Graham at the ceremony since there were several great essays.

This year, the wreath will be laid at the tomb by 8th graders Shay Goines-Lemmon and Riley Fritts. They will be accompanied by Alexis Traylor and Chloe Crabtree.
